TENAA clears 10GB RAM variant of Oppo Find X, the first in the world

Oppo Find X became the first smartphone to feature a movable top section that does so to reveal the front and rear-mounted cameras, all in an effort to do away with the notch – a notch it has so passionately been tweaking to improve the impression the cutout creates on first sight.

Besides proving to be quite innovative, the Oppo Find X also houses some premium hardware, among them a 6.42-inch AMOLED display screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset mated with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. However, it seems the Chinese company still has more in store, at least according to a discovery made by popular tipster Ice Universe.

Apparently, there’s a variant of the Oppo Find X with a massive 10GB RAM in the works. This is simply insane, especially since the world hasn’t even gotten used to having 8GB RAM or even 6GB RAM modules in phones. This will make the Find X the first smartphone in the world with such massive raw power, but it’s unlikely to be sold outside China.

Despite the upgraded RAM, the storage will still be maxed at 256GB, unless Oppo has other ideas on this aspect as well. Also, the rest of the specs should remain unchanged, meaning this variant of the Find X will still keep the aforementioned hardware alongside things like a dual 16MP + 20MP main camera, 25MP front camera, Face ID, 3400mAh battery supported by VOOC fast charging technology via a USB-C port, and Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

The device has just appeared on TENAA, meaning it is getting ready for an official launch in the coming weeks.
