Sony has finally updated its age-old launcher and the new one is now available on the latest Xperia 10 and 10 Plus. If you’re a Sony fan or simply fancy the new launcher, then the senior XDA member Sahaab has successfully created a port for your desired new launcher.
It can be installed on any Sony device running Android 9 Pie and more importantly, it’s not required to have a rooted device.
You could also use the ‘Pill‘. Although you would have to use a PC to activate it and enter an ADB command to get the feature to work. Or you could simply overlook it and use the launcher as it is.
Version 1.4.1 of the launcher works in most scenarios and you wouldn’t have to tweak much of anything to get the launch to function correctly.
The launcher port seems to be confirmed to work on the following devices;Â Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZP, Xperia XZ2, and Xperia XZ3. You could download the launcher by clicking here.
